Hiking trails at Arkabutla Lake
The trails at Arkabulta Lake are mostly, flat and easy trails. You will find multiple names for each trail depending on which source you use. The trails below are listed based on the map provided.
Coldwater River Nature Trail System — The Big Oak Trail is located toward the back of the North Outlet Channel Recreational Area. The five-mile trail has three loops: 2-mile, 3-mile, and five-mile. You can also access the trails at the Dub Patton Day Use Area. Please see the trail system guide for more information.
Swinging Bridge Nature Trail (aka Arkabutla Lake Education and Nature Center Trail or Beaver Pond Nature Trail) — This trail is somewhere close to a mile-long loop. One place online says .5 miles but it is probably around one mile.
